Finally, a fam-jam!
Between work – Ken being away all week – and a zillion family members that all want a piece of Lils, family time is near impossible for us.
I suspected that Ken and I would have less time together once we had a baby. But it still didn’t prepare me for it! It’s a challenging adjustment from being together almost everyday to ONCE a week.
The hustle and bustle of daily life doesn’t allow me to spend much time with Lil’s either.
My friends often have this misconception that my stay-at-home life with Lil’s encompasses sleeping in and playing at the park all day. HA! No. I wish.
We are home together during the week but WHERE does the time go?! And why am I so lethargic by the end of it? The lack of sleep and hydration from fasting all week, might have something to do with it.
But I was not going to let it stop me from spending the day with my loves.
We ventured over to “Little Italy” for the “Taste of Italy Festival.” It was a day filled with several hours of walking. Our breathable Geox kicks were just what we needed to stay cool in the scorching temps. The temperature regulating sneakers were ideal for one of the hottest days of the year.
Luckily, one of the first things we came across was fresh coconut water and pineapple blended with ice. It somehow tastes so much better when poured back into it’s shell. Ken has super power laser vision for scouting out fresh coconut from miles away.
It gives him a little taste of Trinidad in Toronto.
Family time always flies by so fast, I love looking back at these pictures throughout the week.
