Here’s a DIY Stretch Mark Cream I use during and after pregnancy.
For this recipe you will need:
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Butter
- 1/4 cup Shea Butter
- 2 Tbsp Coconut Oil (or Almond oil)
- A few drops of Vitamin E oil
- Few drops of Lavendar essential oil (optional)
Melt the cocoa and shea butter on a double boiler. Avoid using the microwave as it compromises a lot of the nutrients in the butters. Combine remaining ingredients and freeze the mixture about 50% and whip. Store in a jar.
I use this as a preventative measure to avoid stretch marks and it’s amazing post- partum as well. I use this cream on my babies too!
Cocoa butter is an antioxidant powerhouse known to fight signs of aging, scarring and stretch marks.
You can use almond oil instead of coconut oil if you like a creamier consistency, the coconut oil solidifies.
** This recipe is from my own research and experience.. do a small patch test before applying it all over.**
